Graphical Texas Hold ‘em Odds Calculator
So I live and breathe on the internet and I see cool tools, gizmos whiz bangs and other cool stuff all the time. Texasholdem-poker.com however has a very cool tool that lets you drop and drag cards from a deck of 52 onto the up to 11 positions at a table. You can stack up the deck any way you like.
You can say put a pair of deuces on one hand and an eight and nine of spades in another. You can leave the flop, turn and river undecided, hit a button and it will calculate the odds of winning that hand for both players.
The Answer:
The 8,9 of spades has a 52.56% chance to win pre-flop.

Add a five of clubs, nine of hearts and a five of spades. Then you hit recalculate and now that 8,9 of spades has a 91.92% chance of winning.

This is almost more fun than playing for real, its like you are the hand of god touching the cards.
So lets add a two of spades to make things interesting. Now the poor player holding ducks (pair of deuces-did I mention the calculator tells you the names of the pocket set!)
That player is probably getting interested because they have three of a kind and there is only a pair showing.
So then our all might hand throws out a jack of spades on the river. One player has three of a kind and the other player has a flush (apparently called an Oldsmobile in this case)

Three of a kind wins!
