Announcing The Blogger Poker Tour

Scott Hutchens of Blogger Poker Tour let me know of the upcoming events. I’ll quote Scott here:

The tour consists of eight $500 free-rolls that also act as satellites into the Grand Final. The grand final has over $20,000 in the prize pool with the first place being a $12,500 WSOP package.

Scott also mentioned that blog owners are eligible to register and play the free-rolls. For those of you that have been dreaming of playing with the big boys and girls in the WSOP (World Series of Poker), this might just be your chance. Don’t forget that Steve Paul-Ambrose, a 22 year old university grad student, won US$1.36mil in a Texas Hold’Em tournament, just by qualifying from the lower ranks.

For those of you poker newbies unfamiliar with the term free-roll, at least in this context, it simply means a tournament that has no buy-in fee. So you could enter with no money, win, then go to a satellite game. If you manage to stay in the game, literally, you could end up at the final table and take the top prize.
