100k Project
Written by Glenn on November 8th, 2005
One of the coolest things I’ve seen or heard about in online poker is the 100k Project. It’s being run by “Fox”, seen as a regular poster at Pocketfives. He, and some of his buddies, have been running a site, PokerFox, as an instructional site to teach players and help improve their game. Check out the website for 100k Project for more background.
Anyway, the idea stems from a comment made by Ed Miller, an author for the TwoPlusTwo online magazine, when he said:
“An excellent online player could start the year with $1,000 and end it with more than $100,000 with very little risk of going broke. The next year they could turn that bankroll into more than $300,000. A world-class player could hit a million after two or three years.”
Fox took this idea a step further, helping his “LabRat” set up two $500 deposits, one at Full Tilt and the other at Bodog, and they will let us know how it going, playing near 30 hours a week under Fox’s help.
The site is run in blog format and will be updated at least every Friday, I’ll be checking back often to see how it’s going!

Hey thanks for the write up! If you have any specific questions about any thing let me know. We’ll be throwing some mentions of blogs that are talking about us later in the year when we develop a huge traffic base. Looks like a great blog by the way.
