Cashing out

What is the main goal of my playing poker on the internet? Well there are many personal reasons and personal goals I have set myself, but they all stem from one thing: money. I need money to do certain things I want to do. I can win $4,000+ on pokerstars or partypoker but I don’t see any of that until I decide to withdrawal some money from the site and back into my firepay account and then back into my bank account, so that’s exactly what I did.

I had run my bankroll little over $400 (The profit from the SNGs exceeds my bankroll because of my MTTs buyins without cashing, grr!). I also do not have a job, so as far as income goes it is my savings and whatever I take off poor people on pokerstars, so every once in a while I force myself to hit the cash out option.

I cashed out $250, leaving me with $150, roughly. Two things are going to happen: 1) I’m dropping down in limits. Now that my bankroll has been cut more than half I have to tighten up the game I’m playing. 2) No more MTTs with buyins over $10 until my bankroll is back up (and I plan to get it back up). So I’m going to go back to playing the $5 and $10 heads up SNGs instead of the $20. Oh, and here are the stats for my run at the $20 heads up SNGs:

I was not very happy with my preformance. My ITM % was a lot lower than I would have like, but when it comes to these 4-person SNGs you only need to be ITM more than 26.50% of the time to make a profit (That’s roughly $1 profit after 100 games if you got that %).

Without further ado and since I hold nothing back:

Buy In $21.00
Number Played 42
Finished 1st 15
Finished XXX 27
In The Money 35.71%
Buy In $882.00
Return $1,200.00
Profit $318.00
ROI 36.1%
Rake $42

It was nearly the same profit from the same number of $10 SNGs, but with more risk and much less ROI%, so for now I’ll stick to the $10 games.

I’ll still be playing, my goal is to run this $150 into $500 again in the next month, wish me luck!

Peace!
Steve
