Who are these kids?
Lately I have been reading a lot about online poker and I’ve been getting excited about really giving it my all once I have the bank roll to constitute higher limit games.
I recently read a story about an 18 year old who plays $10/$20 hold ‘em on a regular basis at PokerStars and cashes in their tournaments all the time - a few weeks ago he made $30,000 in a week. That’s more than most teachers make in the United States and he’s only 18, starting his first year at college.
I have made a commitment to myself to really focus on getting better at poker, but I’m still deciding what I want to focus on. I’m really interested in attempting to do this “sit and go” challenge that I read about. I’ll explain more in a future post once I look into structures, buy ins, pay outs, and so on to determine what the best site to attempt the challenge is.
I recently watched the $5/$10 NL game on Bodog and I really think it’s a beatable game, unfortunately I don’t have a $10,000 bankroll to play comfortably - some day though.
I am excited about where my game is going and hopefully I can start talking about winning a few thousand here and a few thousand there.
