David Williams & Bodog

I am a huge David Williams fan. I saw him playing on TV in the 2004 World Series of Poker and I loved the way he carried himself and the way he played cards. He’s brilliant, his friends say he’s the smartest person they’ve ever met, and even with the huge amount of success he’s had in poker this year ($4,000,000+) he’s still finishing up his senior year in college.

This year I have been seeing him on TV more often and been reading some interviews with him and he’s promoting Bodog - a relatively new player in the online poker arena. I decided to give it a try. They are also giving away free poker tables this month.

Along with David, Josh Arieh and I think Evelyn Ng promote Bodog as well. All great players with a lot of class, despite how Josh was portrayed in the 2004 WSOP broadcast. He really isn’t as bad as they made him look.

Anyway, Bodog poker is a lot of fun. They have a great interface and the games are relatively soft, I made $70 in a about 3 hours at a $0.25/$0.50 NL table. Simple, tight, aggressive poker seemed the work for the most part, people were happy to move all in on weak draws only to find their draw was no good and they were drawing dead.

I really like their bonuses. While the 20% deposit bonus may not be the greatest in the industry, the 40% refer a friend bonus is a nice deal. If your friend signs up and deposits $100, you get $40 added to your account, so start telling all your friends about Bodog!

But really, it’s definitely earned a spot as one of my favorite sites, and David Williams is promoting a great product, which is good to see. Check out Bodog’s Poker Room and I’m sure you’ll have a good time. Also, if you enjoy betting on sports, Bodog has the best online sportsbook in the industry.

Actually I think read Evelyn plays on PokerStars. I think on her site said she placed 2nd recently in a Poker Stars tournament. She could certainly play on both sites though? Or even be sponsored by Bodog to promote for them?

PS. You going to play in the Hurricane Katrina charity tournaments on Poker Stars?

I know she played in a Bodog charity event at one point, maybe she just did it for fun?
